Check them out when you can.
City of Madison Fire
Department has been designated one of four Heavy Rescue Task Forces
in the state of Wisconsin.
The Task Forces have been established as the first responders to
major disasters, particularly those that may involve a building
collapse or other confined space rescue. The Task Force designation
is a tangible recognition by the federal government that local fire
departments, emergency management, and local and state law
enforcement are the first to arrive at the scene and begin rescue
and response in any disaster scenario. The Madison team has the
designation of Heavy Collapse Task Force II.
